Fellow Chartered Management Accountant with over 25 years experience working at Chair, MD and CEO level in major Private and Public Sector companies, specialising in start up, business development, turnarounds, change management and transformation. Working across sectors turning good ideas into good businesses.
Peter was recruited as Interim CEO for Cornish Pirates Rugby Team, the elite professional sporting team in Cornwall and delivered the successful bid for the Stadium for Cornwall with Cornwall County Council.
When owner Dicky Evans decided to reinvest in Cornish Pirates and once more took over in September 2016 Peter led the Management team. The business was put onto a sound commercial base, key positions recruited and commercial partnerships built with leading local businesses. A 5 point strategy was developed and agreed by the board, implemented and delivered. Key staff appointments and changes were made in Marketing, Customer Service and Community positions.
Working to bring key partners together including Truro and Penwith College and Truro City FC this culminated in the successful vote in 2018 by Cornwall Councillors to back and deliver the Stadium for Cornwall at Truro, planned for 2020/21
